Can a month just go by quicker so we can start talking about the upcoming season? I don’t know why but for me this has been what seems to be one of the longest off seasons. Maybe it is because of higher expectations than normal.
A proven QB is going to be under center, proven tight-ends, a speedster on the outside, experienced running backs.
Yeah we are set for a down year for sure. How many times have we gone into a season with high expectations just to watch a disappointing season unfold before our eyes.
Kirk is seriously over due, way over due for a great season. Not just that, and you can correct me on this if I am wrong (my wife does it all the time, thirty-three years of marriage to the same person will do that) but isn’t this the last year that the divisions as we now know them will exist?
I also think this will be Kirk’s last chance to do something to add greatness to his legacy. I just don’t see after Cade is gone anything that indicates the program is growing and improving.
The hope is that Cade will not have been contaminated by Brian’s brilliance as the OC and QB coach. I known it’s a sure sign of brilliance to let someone coach a position that they have no experience at. Also, having historically one of the top paid coach’s in college football and having to talk about 2004 in year 2023, you can’t make this shit up.
It’s do or die time for the Kirkster. This upcoming season I really believe will put an exclamation point, one way or the other on his legacy. A legacy of rebuild, maintain, and then go out with greatness OR be known as one of the greatest dairy farmers in history…………. milk, milk, milk, the university. I hope he crushes it and that we finally put 2004 behind us and make it into the playoffs. I want it so bad. We all deserve it as a fan base! Make it happen Kirk.
