Anyone else getting pumped? Let's break down the team.

6-2/5-3

That's what it feels like to me. Sight unseen Petras will likely be a good quarterback, but not a game changer.

Im worried about Kirk being Kirk in this season of arena league like scores and offenses.

Anyone trying to run an arena league offense with the B1G season starting in late October is going to be in a world of hurt. See, e.g., Scott Frost and Richard Rodriguez.

You got me wondering where Rich Rod is coaching this year. I guess the answer is nowhere. Last job he had was OC at Ole Miss in 2019, but he was not brought back in 2020. He must be sitting it out this season.

I can see the defense taking a step back this year. Last year's defense was severely under-rated. The defense lost 3 players to the NFL draft, including 2 players in the secondary.

Jeff Brohm just seems to know how to find a weakness in the Iowa secondary and with Purdue bringing both Moore and Bell back, the Iowa secondary could have a long day on Oct 24.

But don't underestimate Phil Parker either. If anybody can work some magic with the Iowa DB's, Parker can. Here's hoping he can do it again.

I hope we see a lot of Brents against Purdue. They burned Moss last year.

And wah wah wah to ISU....probably their best team in a decade and they "miss" Iowa this year.
Suck it.
