Anyone catch Dickie V

Had 3 Big Ten teams in his top 5 going into next season: 2. OSU 3. MSU and 5. Purdue. Big Ten is loaded next year and don't see the Hawks gaining many more wins than last year.
 
We could be a better team next year and not win many more games....its probably going to happen. I thought the same thing could happen to the football team going into the 2009 season with the schedule we had. The football team turned out well....lets hope the bball team can make some gains
 
Dick must be assuming Evan Turner isn't going pro, because I can't see Jared Sullinger having enough of an impact to offset the loss of Turner.

As for the "Dukie V" thing, what kind of an idiot must Vitale be to keep singing the praises of a program that keeps winning NC's and graduates its players?

Sullinger and DeShaun Thomas together along with 3 other top 100 recruits could offset Turner,imo.

Sullinger is going to be FOY,I predict,and average double figure points.
Thomas could be close behind.
The key will be their pgs...who will replace Turner.
Buford- probably be better.
Lighty- possible all american
Diebler- lites out again.
Lauderdale- even tougher with big new forwards around him.

I think OSU will be a contender to win the whole thing if their new pg is as good as advertised.
 
All I caught from Dickie V was his rant scolding the masses for hating Duke and how he couldn't understand the hate...well, Dick...YOU'RE THE POSTER CHILD OF WHY PEOPLE HATE DUKE!

Whew...felt good to get that out there.

It could happen, and I think Sullinger could even average a double-double. However, I don't know that even a class full of HS A-A's could make up for the huge playmaking ability that bailed Ohio State out so often this season. Heck, without ET, even Iowa could have hung an L on those guys.

I heard him say this on the radio. I almost drove off the road!

I take everything this guy has to say with a grain of salt. I hate being so harsh about him, 'cause I know first hand how nice, considerate and caring he is, and what he has done for charities and such. But, when you are given the platform that he has, and you can't even be bothered to study your business... just go away. Mr. Musberger, that goes for you too. Both these clowns embarrassed themselves this entire bball season.

Hawks will be stronger next year, only stands to reason. Take it to the bank, two of these three will not be in next years pre-season top five. Where's Louisville, Kentucky, Memphis, North Carolina, Baylor, Tennessee, Florida, Butler, Gonzaga, Arizona... so many great programs with huge young talent coming back. He's just flapping his gums 'cause he was in Indy for half a week. That, or DV has lost his mind.

Fox Sports now has 3 Big 10 teams in the top 5 as well and Illinois listed at #17.
