Anybody have Cartwright's JC stats

Bryce Cartwright- Paris JC 2009-2010:
25gms FG43.9% 3pt-22-64/34.4% FT35-46/76.1% PT225=9.0/gm
1.6rb/gm ast97=3.88/gm stl33=1.32/gm

Very good assist to turnover ratio, it appears. That alone makes me a little excited. I know, it it JUCO, but sounds like this kid knows how to handle the basketball.

At least we know that Bryce has played vs good competition in HS and at Fresno.
State title in Ca. is not easy. Compton playgrounds have talented athletes. He should not be shocked by the quicks of Lew Jackson,Jordan Taylor,Mike Thompson,or Al Nolen.

It looks like Paris played 30 games but the individual stats for Paris went for 25 games. I had heard that the last 3 games in the tournament that Cartwright really stepped up and averaged 15 points a game. He obviously played on a very good team where scoring was very balanced.

He won't be a primary scorer for us, I still look for Gatens to lead with May and Payne being next...but Cartwright could really improve depth, ball-handling and perimeter defense which are critical areas of need.

Guarantee you that Payne won't be the starter for this team. White boys getting no love.

Respectfully disagree. I believe that Payne will stay as the starter and slide to the 2 for some minutes. IMO, the playing time at PG will be split pretty closely but Payne will amass more minutes by staying on the court in the SG role.

I hope so!!! I'm a big Cully fan,and think he'll develop into and good big ten guard. It's his job to lose.(I dont think he will). But if challenged it will only make the winner and other guy better and be better for the Hawks. I would hope any kid we bring in could reach down and make himself into a starter(ask coach Bowen)!!! good luck to Bryce go get it!

This may be and I do think Payne will see starter's minutes regardless of who starts. However, I hope Cartwright ends up starting because that will mean that Payne's offense won't be a necessity in the starting line-up and he can be brought in for same in the course of the game.
