Any news on McCall playing in Bowl??

Just wondering if people with connections have heard anything. Coker had a breakout game last year and it would be great if McCall could give in a breather every third series. Damien Sims got his carries behind AYoung, Fred Russell had support, Wegher and Robinson shared the load.
 
I've got a cousin who lives at Hillcrest who saw him going through the dining hall wearing an Illini shirt. Putting two and two together, I think O'Keefe takes him to Champaign when he inks the deal.

1. You fell for it.
2. A lot of schools have rules that if you are a scholarship athlete, you aren't allowed to ever wear clothing of any other college team. I don't know if the Iowa football team has this rule, but a lot of teams do.

He gone, per reliable poster 0520hawkeyes..... Something about KF being a *****, and McCall not playing enough cause he's the next Barry Sanders from that Tenn Tech game, and could've done way better than Cokers amazing stats this year.

Looks like good premium info if you ask me so don't question it, check it out under the Watch-McCall leave thread

From what I've heard it would be an upset if he comes back, ever. Take it or leave it I don't give a ****.
 
if he leaves fine, if not that's fine as well, it will not that big a loss
with Rodgers healthy again, i expect him to get carries, both in running playes and FB screen passes, either way it will not be as big a loss as the hand wringers think it will be

Not sure who this Rodgers guy is, but if you think our FB will be getting enough carries to be a 2nd back you are nuts. This year already proved that we are missing a backup RB in a bad way.
 
I think we could def use him. Coker is so f'ing slow. If he doesnt come back, I'm really hoping we see more canzeri if he can ever get healthy.

I wasnt Coker to be our main back, but we NEED someone else as a change of pace for at least 8-12 carries a game.
 
If a player is not with the team after the second-to-the-last game of the regular season I seriously, seriously doubt he will be available for a bowl game. JMHO.

(Edit: previous note saying he was "no longer" with the team was incorrect. At his presser last week Ferentz said it was a week-to-week matter.

It really is funny how the worm turns. After the bowl game and his 60 yard TD run, eveyone gushed about how fast he was.......

But now, he is another Adam Robinson, who also was faster than our fans thought......

But probably one of the funniest things is McAll came in at 4.7 per rivals and we worried about him being to slow, and Coker came in at 4.6....
　
I mean really, we worry about "this" and then switch gears so complexly and totally that we pretend like the last thing didn't happen...
　
It honestly is quite a phenomenon and I always wonder if it is only germane to our favorite sports team of if we do this with every day life as well.....

I think people talked about how fast he was compared to his size which is still true. The guy is a running back in a fullback's body. It's also not his strait ahead speed that's the problem. When he moves side to side he looks like he's in quick sand

That is probably true, but I will have to agree with others who said we probably didn't see quite enuff to really decide how "quick" he is every game. I agree with your earlier assertion that you can sure till he is a quick one cut rune, but that is Cokers claim too and he got it back later. However we honestly don't yet know (in 9 carries) how shifty McAll is. Game after game after game in particular.
