Any news on hawkeyes playing in the pre-season

I watched some of the Cowboys game the other night. Hitchens looked really good at times, and slow at times (would get lost in the blocking sole too). Still a work in progress, and hopefully he continues to get better. Full disclosure, I only watched the first half.

I also watched the 49ers game, and Hampton got quite a bit of action. He did not impress, IMO.

Stanzi went 4/4 for the Jags. If Bortles keeps playing well you have to believe he'll be getting serious looks to pass Henne for #1. The big question is if Ricky can pass Henne for #2 if Henne keeps throwing picks. I know when they signed Rick they were really impressed with him, and to be honest, watching him in preseason last year I thought he looked pretty good, I'm not sure why the Chiefs s*** on him so much.

I saw Edds play a set of downs as well, he looked pretty good, and ended up recovering a fumble.

Watched Hitch as well and I was really impressed. He showed great ability to locate the ball and get to it. For me I have always paid attention to young d players to see if they have that natural ability to find the ball and he has it. The other stuff will come and complete his game. I m excited to see how he develops.

Greene had a 13 yard TD run in the 1st quarter for the Titans tonight. He finished with 20 yards on 4 carries. Hyde has fair caught a couple of punts and been in on D. Klug is playing quite a bit tonight for Tennessee as well. I missed the first few Green Bay drives so I am not sure if Bulaga has played tonight but I saw him dressed on the sidelines.

I believe stanzi leaving kc was more a new regime and I am not sure he fits the Reid system that well as he is more of a downfield passer and Reid likes more short passing.

Kirksy played well for Cleveland. The announcers were giving he and the Iowa coaching staff a lot of love on the broadcast.

I'm pretty sure that was former Hawkeye QB Paul Burmeister on the call of the game, so he may have been a little biased. I would also have to agree with him though that NFL general managers do respect what Kirk does at Iowa.
