Any Kafka Updates?

caught the end of the penn st./ NW game on sat. and noticed kafka wasn't playing. heard them briefly say he was injured earlier in the game. any idea on severity of injury?

Yep, he was scrambling, then grabbed his hammy and went down in a heap. NW was moving the ball very well until that point, and then did nothing for the last 2 1/2 quarters with the backup QB.
 
I'm sure, because Fitz hates Iowa and he will come out both guns blazing.
If it where me I'd rest him and go after my 6th win against Illinois and get Kafka back healthy for that game.
If Kafka plays this week and injures it worse and then is gone for the season, you still may not (Probably not) beat Iowa in Kinnick, save him for a game you have a much better chance of winning. Then go bowling!
Lose him for good this week, I doubt they will win another game.
 
We're not likely to hear any official updates, other than "Kafka is hurt and will play if he's able to go".

So we'll need to prepare for facing him, and then probably watch him limp off the field after a hard hit early in the game.
 
I hope he plays. I want to beat them with their best. Plus it gives all the Hawk haters one less excuse as to why we won another game.

This will be a true test the depth of Fitz's hatred for Iowa. If he plays Kafka, at the expense of a shot at a bowl, he is as dumb as I suspected.
I just cannot imagine how a hammy bad enough to pull outta a game they had a legit chance at a big upset in...like PSU...how could that same hammy be ready in 7 days? I have had hammy pulls...they linger for weeks.

I like our chances if Kafka does not play. Persa can run but is green,and could struggle in their passing game. McManus is good and is going to return so their pass defense might be improved this week. Their secondary was expected to be the strength of their team coming into the season.

Hope the wind is not blowing saturday. Go Hawks.

I would like to beat these teams with our best but we all know injuries are part of the game and the teams that can adjust with what they have come out on top.I'll take 10-0 over NW regardless of who plays for them or us.
