Any Iowa Wrestlers in UFC/MMA?

Just saw this dude level someone Johny Hendricks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and totally forgot that he was the Ok State wrestler who lost to Perry in the finals.

Anyway, made me wonder, with how aggressive the Iowa wrestlers are, if any made the transition. Man, could I see Metcalf doing this when he ends his wrestling career.

Mocco won his MMA debut a couple weeks ago but he's got a ways to go if he's going to ever make it to the UFC.

Like Denver said Mocco had his pro debut just the other night and won easily. Metcalf is focused on making an olympic run in Rio 2016.

Johny is a bad bad man, excellant wrestling and obvious one punch knockout power.

It is kind of odd that there are not more Hawk wrestlers trying their hand at MMA. Royce Alger tried his hand back in the pioneer days of MMA, and it did not go well. But have success in MMA reflects positively on a program, and with teams like PSU and Okie State getting attention for the fighters they produce, the Hawks would do well to have someone go in and get some success as well.
