Any chance gameday comes to kinnick for penn state game??

So far the best games during week 4 of the CFB season are:


UCLA at Stanford
TCU at Oklahoma State
Maybe Washington at Colorado
or Notre Dame at Michigan State

Any chance that due to a weak slate of games around the nation, that College Gameday comes to Iowa City for the Penn State game?

Teams that get 41 rung up on them by ISU don't make Gameday typically.

And do you really want Lee Corso in Iowa City going full Captain Alzheimer's? He's embarrassing and awkward to watch because you know very well someday he's going to take his clothes off and throw poop at Herbstreit. I don't want IC known for that.

What I don't get is why is Utah on the cusp they suck and haven't played anyone?

I think the main choices are:

1. UCLA v Stanford. However, they typically don't do a lot of West Coast locations because of the timezone issue. A 9am ET start for gameday ends up being 6am West Coast time.

2. Iowa v Penn State - Iowa not being ranked hurts, but PSU being in the Top 5 and our history of night game upsets over Top 5 teams recently helps.

3. ND v MSU - Gameday loves ND and this is a high profile matchup, even if Sparty was way down last year and ND is sort of "meh" this year.

4. Random small college/FCS location - They do this every now and then to give some run for small college/FCS programs....especially when there aren't compelling FBS matchups. However, there really aren't a lot of big time matchups happening even on the FCS side.

I think we get surprised and get the gameday call for Iowa City.

I'm not sure they like upset games. Makes Corso, Herbstriet and Howard look silly. Oh ya and whoever the guest star is. Lol no one is picking Iowa unless it is Ashton or Tom.
