If iowa were to put up another statue around kinnick stadium, who would you want to see? (coach Fry, Evy, or someone else) IMO I think they should put up more plaques/statues around kinnick to show off more of the history of the program.

Not necessarily an answer to your question, but I approve of Nile Kinnick. I approve of what he represents.

1. Calvin Jones

2. Hayden Fry

3. Evy

And after that there a host of others up for more debate...I wouldn't mind seeing a "Statue Gardens" of Iowa greats.

1. Randy Duncan
2. Bob Jeter.

Both were on the 1958 Hawk team that won the Big title and dominated in their Rose Bowl win.
Duncan was named the Big Ten Most Valuable Player and was selected to the All-Big Ten first team and the All-America first team. He finished second in the 1958 Heisman Trophy voting behind Pete Dawkins of Army.

Jeter had a great year at RB including rushing for 194 yds on 9 carries in the Rose Bowl.

Statues? No more. Kinnick is Kinnick.

You want an example why? Target Field Great ballpark. But there's a damn statue for everybody but the ballboy. Overkill.

Perhaps some plaques or even busts in the Press Box (but most fans would never get to see them there.

As an ISU fan, I think Fry deserves one. It'd be a great honor towards him, and to have it in place while he is alive would be a great thing, see the Orr statue at Hilton.

Plaque should read as follows:

In Memorium of Dominique Douglas and teh City Boyz

Cash Money Yo

I think plaques somewhere in the stadium of all the 1st team all Americans would be cool. Seeing some recent names like Clayborn, Greene, Kaeding, Sanders, Clark and Dwight would be very cool for both the fans and potential recruits on gameday.

Without a doubt, it should be--and by should, I mean that this is WAY overdue--be Fred Becker. Who was Fred Becker?

1. An All-American Iowa FB player in the late teens, back when players from the Midwest almost never made AA squads, which were dominated by players from the East.

2. Becker was killed in WWI when he still had eligibility remaining--in other words, he was basically still a student who could've played if he'd returned home alive.

He is, in his own way, nearly as important in Iowa FB history as Nile Kinnick, yet he remains relatively unknown to nearly all Iowa fans. This is a travesty. He deserves a statue.
