This is one I've heard as well. They've talked with a ton of coaches outside of Darian and Ben. I wouldn't say there are more than a couple I've heard that I would even consider to be good hires. To clarify. I heard his name mentioned but not in a list of someone Iowa has talked with.

Just in case you don't know how to do that. Next time go to the address bar when you are on the story and "Left" click on your mouse in the address bar. It should highlight the whole address. In my case it turns it blue. After it is highlighted right click in the address bar and hit "Copy". Once that is done you can go to the conversation part of your post and right click on your mouse and then hit paste. Then a direct link will show up in your post and make it easier on everyone to just click on the link and read or watch a video whatever the case might be.

Gates’s could keep the current staff and have a decent chance of having players return, even though they are in the portal. I would be perfectly willing to take a chance on him.

If Beth wants to really prove her oats. Pick a relatively unknown name and have him be an awesome coach.
I know many are pointing toward Ben M but why does his style have a shadow of Lickliter in him as far as pass the ball around and run the clock down to keep possession’s low for the team your playing.
Also people shouldn’t take a win or two in the March tournament into great consideration. Does the name Alford mean anything to you???
Show us what you got Beth. Show us that you can evaluate talent in a coach and see greatness where others would overlook.

If gatens was going to be the option, they should have given him the option to partake in the NIT as interim. Players get to play, coaches get audition.

He's also only 1/4 the coach his dad is. Yesterday's result notwithstanding.
Woulda been a great idea however that woulda meant she woulda had to make a quick decision on it. Woulda lent to having no time to have done a search. Besides unless that quick announcement woulda kept so many of the guys from getting in the portal they couldn't have played regardless. And I'm not so sure they woulda
