Nothing sub-par about MSU's DL or defense overall. They are loaded and extremely fast. Remember how we were supposed to be able to hang with Florida 2 years ago when they had several defenders out for the game. No one injured for State.
I have to believe Hock is leaving. He is NFL ready. I like to expect that Iowa players go a round after their projection just to be safe. I could see Hock going 2nd round with his combination of athleticism and well rounded TE capabilities.

And yet they have been beat by 2+ touchdowns in 3 of their 4 losses.

The thing about MSU is if we don't play with intensity they will steam roll us. They are from the SEC and that is what they are built to do. If we do play with intensity then we can easily beat them. Speed doesn't matter when it's looking at the sky from the flat of it's back. If we play that way we will win. Will we? Who the hell knows. Consistency has been a consistent problem the last few years. MSU is an opponent that requires good Iowa to show up to win. I will remain optimistic that good Iowa shows up. Until the game shows me otherwise.
