Another mid-major "powerhouse" ducking a BCS team

TCU is joining the Big East in 2012...I don't think the term "mid major" applies to them anymore. They lined up and beat a great Wisconsin team in the Rose Bowl and are joining a BCS conference, they've done enough to not be called "mid major" anymore

Wrong. Until they play the big boys week in and week out...they are a mid major. No one has ever said they can't compete in one game.

Still can't believe Wisky abandoned the run in the Rose Bowl...must have taken KoK with them to Pasadena.

I don't blame TCU for wanting to have it be a home and home...it's only fair. Just don't try to sell me the mantra of "we'll play anyone, anywhere" anymore...

Pat Hill of Fresno State is the only one who has said he'll play anyone, anywhere. And he has lived up to that claim.

TCU has every right to demand a home game in return. Wisky can always find another Austin Peay game.

Some of you have no insight at all do you?

"Del Conte said plans for a potential home-and-home series were never discussed." Do you know what that means? Or is English a 2nd language?

Wisky (Bielema) wanted to play them on national TV to open the season, he said yes immediately. TCU didn't want to risk a loss and thus knocking them out of a backdoor BCS game so they ducked the game by saying they wanted a home and home and yet it was never discussed. The TCU AD admitted it or implied it because this: "but rather that the one-time meeting would not produce a return game in Fort Worth."

TCU never asked for a home and home. In fact, if you read what is posted above you would understand that. See the Del Conte quote. They simply said no and are using the home and home as an excuse.

Holy sh!t. You just quoted and argued with yourself, toward the end of a thread you started, in which you have been completely dismissed and embarrassed.
Do you ever self-evaluate, Dennis?!?
I mean, really. Day after day, you troll here and get nuked in return. It stopped being almost amusing a few months back.
Now you're merely pathetic.
Give it some thought...if you're capable.

Just because some of you don't understand the written language doesn't mean I don't. There are people arguing in this thread that TCU declined the offer because they weren't going to get a home and home as if it was fact when in reality the TCU AD readily admits that it wasn't even discussed. How can it be fact if it wasn't discussed. The answer is simple....it's a nice excuse to use when you get called out for ducking a Big10 opponent. If I were the AD or Bielema I would immediately and publicly offer a home and home series with TCU.

The TCU game that is currently scheduled for Sept. 3 is AT Baylor for Christs sake. It's not like TCU is giving up a home game and there is certainly a buyout clause for that game which could easily be paid for by using either Big10 TV contract money should the game be on that network or any other major network for that matter. That game would draw a much larger audience than most games played on Sept. 3rd.

Get a clue and quit trolling my threads.

If Wisconsin wanted to discuss a home and home then that is what they should have brought to the table. Wisconsin offered to play one game in Madison, TCU declined. They're not obligated to counter offer and their lack of counter offer does not imply anything about them. If Wisconsin wants to play a home and home, then bring that to the table and IF and ONLY IF TCU declines, can you claim they are ducking them.
