Another Ferentz Story

My dad, my brother and I were all planning on going to the I-Club event in Clear Lake last night until my wife notified me that last night is the first night of our la maz classes.

Of course I decided to skip the I-club event and my dad and brother went without me. When we got out of class my wife had a picture text from my brother. She checked it and showed it to me and it was writing on a piece of paper that said: Baby Adams, Go Hawks and then was signed by Kirk Ferentz.

Got to talk to my dad for a bit after he got home last night and said that Ferentz is just a great all around person, which I think most of us know. Spent some of the night just walking around the room mingling with people and got to my dad and he told him he was having his first grandchild in July and wondered if he could sign something for him. Kirk said he would love to and shook my dads hand and congratulated him.

I figure I will try and catch the I club even up here in Mpls with Greenway and Eric Johnson. Any other Hawks displaced in MN going? Its May 9th at Stella's Fish Cafe from 6-8 PM.

I certainly hope that's true for the kid. Definitely wasn't for me though. I got similar cards from both Fry AND Gable. Needless to say, I've never donned the Black and Gold on the field or on the mat

We are having a boy but the wife said no to names relating to the Hawks. I got to name our dog (10 month old golden doodle) Hayden. She is a huge Hawk fan too but is not going for a Hawkeye related name.

Its all good though.
