Our "vaunted" defense let yet another team waltz up the field at the end of the game to win. Once again gave up a big play on fourth down.

Once again our two minute offense looks like the Keystone Kops.

We have one of the most talented offense in terms of skill position players since 2002....yet our brilliant offensive coordinator has totally and completely wasted and mismanaged it.

Hey, KOK....how about running shotgun every play on that last drive? EVERY OTHER TEAM DOES IT. Hey....how about calling some pass plays that are 10-15 yards down the middle of the field? Cripes, it seems like we either pass it 4 yards or 40 yards.

But hey....we're only Iowa. We need to give Kirk more money and a contract extension because, you know, 8-4 (or maybe 7-5) with the occasional 9 or 10 win season should be good enough.

I really feel sorry for the kids who gave their all today....only to have the coaching staff yank yet another victory away. They deserved better.
 




Would have to agree with both above posts. Iowa sells stability I say complacent KOK needs to retire and we need to name a successor to d/c because Norm is going to continue to have problems with his health.

KF again does a poor job when expectations are above 5th place finish in Big Ten. We need some fresh blood and new ideas for KF and staff, and we need to learn how to play with higher expectations then aw shucks we are Iowa and we have a 50/50 no matter who we play.

Every team in the Big 10 knows that Iowa will never go away from the vaunted "Bend but don't Break" defense. Well, its broken and out dated. I watched the game with a very good friend and she is an avid Buckeye. From the first set of down, she commented how the Buckeyes know that they can always pick up 5-8 yards with short passes and that you can always burn Iowa corners with a long pass a few times a game. Pryors miss guided passes are the only reason they only won by 3 pts. Time to seriously take an inventory of the DC and OC.

Wisky..."We're tired, Wisky's big. Wore us down. I'm seeing a pattern and will probably happen again"
Indy..."It's happening again. A bit surprised but not totally"
NW..."Confirmation its' happening again, and yup, it did. On the verge of prediction"
OSU...I literally told the OSU fans surrounding me, "Watch...you'll score, we'll go 3 and out and then you'll drive again to a win." Pattern predicted

I just hope we don't have to add the Minnesota to the above list.

what makes you think MN will be any different? Every team Iowa plays, it's the same. We trade blows with each team in the 1st half, we're either down or up by a score.

We come out looking like a different team in the 3rd Q and take the lead, only to go back into a funk late in the 3 Q or 4th, and the opponent has a chance to win late in the game.

Only reason I think MN will be different is the fact that they're a train wreck - if Iowa plays with the effort the did yesterday we'll be fine - not sure they will though and if the same team shows up that played IN and NW we may see Floyd heading back North
