how long before other teams adopt the Iowa method of forcing a uptempo game, yes they managed a 83-60 win over OSU. but how often and for how many games can they keep that up as that is not their game plan,
another ting is who on their roster or coming in will replace Taylor

Gotta wonder if Fran was one of the coaches quoted. Since he prefers an uptempo game, I'm guessing he doesn't enjoy they way Wisc plays.

Yep, Wisconsin plays **** basketball. Them failing at some point would be great for the league.

I hate the way they play, but Ryan I think has the best Big 10 conference winning percentage of any current coach. I hate watching it but I would love it if my team had that kind of success.
 
That is true Bryce which is why we all gave Lick a chance when he first came here. But if you are consistently losing playing that style it is boring as heck.

and they scored 72 in the 1st game, this against a team that gave up 40-50 points a game for the year and it was 67-66 not 63-60, that = 69.5 ppg avg in two wins that Wiscy allowed
 
the worst part is the comment on their offense which is true. they dont run the swing as much as they should. the swing offense is a very potent offense and fun to watch when ran correctly. but they really just isolate anymore with a few seconds on the clock.
 
After watching the MVC and other conference tournaments this week, it is clear the big ten needs to chat with the officials and get the games cleaned up. I think it was a WCC game (not sure), but ESPN played the audio of the refs talking to the players before the game about play in paint and said no arm bars, no hooking, grabbing, leaning, play straight up D and we will call it fairly from there.

I realize you can't take all of this out of the game, but watching teams grab Gatens' jersey, knock him off balance running through a screen or simply hand checking / holding him isn't good defense.....it's fouling. MSU, WI and Purdue seem to be able to play with all kind of contact and not get called for fouls because it is "their style". I do not think there is a conspiracy against Iowa, just think the way games are called favors the teams that play like WI.
