I still like Dan Dakich for B1G basketball games, just like I liked Wayne Larivee for B1G football games.

I really don't think Dakich comes off as a prick at all. I think he flat out is a prick. This guy talked about Indiana's players in a derogatory way in Iowa City when he felt they played with no passion, had no leadership, etc. Then he's kissing ass to them when they get hot and blow us out. His comments about Jok's defense on a transition basket were out of line also in the first freaking minute of the game. Jok wasn't going to get in foul trouble after the experience against Penn State where he sat for 18 minutes in the first half. I'm 100% certain Fran told him to be careful also...any coach would.

If he knows basketball and had done his homework he wouldn't have made those comments, or he would have brought up the Penn State experience for Jok and put some context around it. Instead he questions Jok's will and you have the typical morons on this board asking whether Jok should be allowed to play in the NIT for quitting on his team.
Half the time he's looking for a storyline that isn't there...but fits his cutesy remarks.
