This kid seems to have pick em up and lay em down speed to him. Neither of those two did. They used their size to get open in the Big 12. But neither ever out ran anyone to get open. Similar size and playing the same HS level competition though. If you want to do cross-state comparison, a bit like Todd Blythe or Allen Lazard.
8 out of 10 in what may end up being the most talented Iowa HS class ever, with a ton of cumulative offers like you said. That makes 8 out of the top 10 Iowa kids in the fold to be Hawkeyes.... Since the Bollers kid won't be coming that pretty much just leaves the Fidone TE kid left. I'm not sure what's more impressive. The fact there's that many kids up for grabs in state but the fact there's so many that are that dang good too. I mean they are all high D1 level talent worthy of being fought over. Iowa is killing it absolutely killing it. KF has this train rolling
Please tell them to stop Rob, we are getting tired of all the winning.
Last I heard/read, Fidone was a pretty strong Nebraska lean, but with his recent tweets supporting the new commits, it makes you wonder if he's coming back around our way again. The positive vibe surrounding the class and upsurge in commits certainly can't hurt.Another really nice in-state recruiting win. Man, if they pull down the Fidone kid...yahtzee!
It's too bad Fidone grew up watching the Big Red. That's a tough thing to overcome when Scott Frost is stringing together 4 and 5 win seasons. I mean...there is a good chance that Nebraska beats Iowa at some point while Fidone is there.
Mr. Fidone...this is me reasoning with you to come to Iowa where two tight ends went in the first round of the NFL Draft last year. That doesn't happen very often...wait...it had never happened. They are reasons why a former Iowa TE is now the best TE in the NFL. The foundation is strong at Iowa.

It sounds like he is fairly close with Keagon Johnson, who some are speculating is an Iowa lean now, despite him being a Husker legacy. Some Nebby fans feel if Johnson goes to Iowa that’s the nail in the coffin for their chances with Fidone. He ran a hand timed 4.45 40 the other day. He's got wheels for sure. This kid seems to have pick em up and lay em down speed to him. Neither of those two did. I found it interesting that he was running free behind the D so many times in his highlights. Wouldn't think you'd see that at the 4A level so much. Maybe he's just that good....

I'd say more Brandon Smith type.
