Angelo Garbutt Verbals to Iowa

Welcome to the team. You made a great decision to come to Iowa, and best of luck to you.

You do know he's not going to read what you wrote don't you?... At least I highly highly doubt it. I never understand why people write things like that. I see it here and facebook all the time where people will wish a happy bday to someone that isn't even on facebook... Makes no sense to me at all... Your addressing yourself basically and it's just weird.

Did you ever find out who took a dump in your cheerios this morning?

Well maybe he does, and even if not the effort to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere in general could help with recruiting.

As far as Facebook goes a good thing to do is use an app to automatically wish people a happy birthday such as with this app. This way it does not matter if they read it or not because the effort is minimal.

I get the wanting to have a pep rally atmosphere jazz. I think it can be done in a less creepy weird way.

I don't think you understood what I meant by my FB reference. What I meant was there are people that are not on it at all. And I think it's weird when say if I were to wish someone a happy bday on it when they can't see it and never will...

For people that use the birthday app it actually takes more work to not wish them a happy birthday. So many people just let the app send the message irregardless.

wow, lighten up dude

Why do people think that an 18 year old who just commited somewhere wouldn't get on a message board of that team to see what fans were saying about them? Of course they do.

Very good point, and if they are not many of their friends/family probably are.

Either way, happy to have him on the squad!

Welcome to the Hawkeye family, Angelo Garbutt........Angelo is the next Christian Kirksey.
For those in Rio Linda, Christian Kirksey, former Hawkeye LB, now starting for the
Cleveland Browns

Yeah, that was cool that BOZO Baldwin has a premonition about how the
Seahawks would **** themselves later in the game. LOL

Could not have happened to a better bunch of bozos. LMAO

If you think that an 18 year-old kid isn't going to scour every message board the day after he commits to see what people say about him, you're nuts. Chances are decent that he saw it. Now, whether or not you SHOULD do it is another issue altogether.
