Has anybody ever been to State College? It is out in the middle of nowhere.

Most visiting football teams fly into Harrisburg almost ninety miles away. The teams bus to State College through "Deliverance" country. It's like Iowa being located in Decorah.

Would you drive from Cedar Rapids to Decorah, through the mountains, during a snowstorm, to see a basketball game that's on TV! Morgantown, WV, is more urban than State College.

They beat Wisconsin today. Third victory over a ranked team in the past three weeks. Probably NCAA bound.

The future actually looks pretty bright for Penn State basketball.

They are 5-4 & 12-8. Losing to Maine at home hurt their resume. They also lost to Ole Miss and maryland. Tough schedule ahead with many away games against ranked teams.
