In order to move away from an agricultural based trophy, perhaps they could get Aegon or Principal to sponsor some new trophy called "The Actuarial Table" or something related to insurance.

A couple of high schools have a trophy called the little Cy-Hawk trophy. It's much better than any of the versions of the Iowa - Iowa State rivalry trophy.
Somebody already did a good job, that actually looks like a football trophy. I'd say get permission to scan the thing and 3D print a larger version to top off a new Cy-Hawk trophy.
