McCabe was hot that game, outside of him we didn't shoot it all that well.
The success of this season is going to depend on Gesell being able to shoot the 3 at a near elite level. I don't see Ogelsby being able to fill that role.

Whar Woodbury? I was much more hesitant than most to expect much from him, but he is more of a Ghost on the court than I am.

Very good points here. The first half of our first game and for most of our second game our shooting has been very poor collectively. Hopefully it will come around.if it doesn't we will be lucky to win more games this year than we did last year. Now it's possible that Fran it like that mad scientist in the lab trying different chemicals together and when it's all said and done and we start conference play he will have a magical potion put together that we make us all smile........ fingers crossed.
I know it's only our second game and I expect it won't be until game six or seven before we start to see some good chemistry among the players. That is the norm that I have seen over the thirty some years I have been following Iowa basketball. I will try to be patient and keep that in mind. I think one of these games Josh is going to bust loose and from that point he is going to be really special. I hope it happens sooner rather than later. Go Hawks Go!!!

I think we went 11 for 21 in that game and McCabe went 3 for 3. If that's right the rest of the team went 8 for 18.
