With the Murray twins coming to Iowa next year we'll see if they can join this list. Probably not but, hey, it would be a great thing for Iowa basketball if they could. We won't know for some five years but it is a talking point. Both are good shooters but hthey would have to make a run at Roy Marble's school record to have shot at the Top 10 of this list.

0.5 5302 Press and Pete Maravich - Press, Pete's father, scored his points at Div II Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, WV

1. 5024 Dell and Steph Curry
2. 4528 Steve and Steve Burtt Jr
3. 4490 Dell and Seth Curry
4. 4360 Steve and Bryce Alford
5. 4183 Greg and Doug McDermott
6. 3883 Jalen Rose and Jimmy Walker
7. 3584 Rick and Jon Barry
8. 3513 Rick and Brent Barry
9. 3510 Eric and Walk Piatkowski
10. 3482 Rick and Drew Barry
11. 3464 Roy and Dev Marble

You mean to me that neither Kory or Byrce Alford could push into his list with the head start their father gave them?

Thanks for the update, I'll add the Alfords. I put this list together when Dev was a senior. This is a tough one to build as you can't just google it and get a list, it took some research. I used to ask for names and never got many. I lost this file and just got it back yesterday.

Sorry Z, I wasn't calling forgetfulness, i was just trying to be funny. Maybe one of Steve's kids did push them onto the list. I guessing Steve had over 2,000 career college points.

Maravich, by the way, would be in 6th place by himself (3,667) on this list, and he did it in three years.

Canyon was on the Florida team that knocked Wisconsin out of the NCAA'S a couple years ago.

Scooter was on Kansas's 1988 NCAA championship team.

That's a thirty year gap between siblings, which may be a record never to be broken, unless Mick Jagger has had kids playing college basketball, and who can prove that he hasn't?

Rick Barry, by the way, was born in 1944, about six month after Jagger. Who knows if he still has kids in the pipeline.

How many touchdowns did Gordy Bohannon throw at Iowa? Does that count?

Funny, being a zstatman I look at stats and lists. When I was doing this post for some reason I thought about Gordy Bohannon wondering if he had any football records. I was looking at the 1000 yard rushing list and noticed that the lowest 1000 yard rusher in Hawkeye history is Mark Fetters with 1006 yards. He is also Xavier Foster's grandfather.. Made me further think about whether or not we need a Fetters line to highlight his career, something like the Mendoza line, which Rob just referred to in one of his article. Well, I digress.........

McDermott s should probably be up there

I wasn't able to find Greg's basketball playing stats from UNI. Wikipedia has his coaching stats and only says he played at UNI from 1984-1988 and earned his BA in 1988. The UNI website only has yearly stats back to 2000.

If someone knows how to find it and Doug and Greg should be on the list I'll gladly add them.
