Alford makes final cut for National COY

My vote goes to Frank Martin from K-State.

Has accomplished more than expected in one of the top three conferences.

If Alford wins it it would mean Iowa would have fired/pushed out two of the last four national coaches of the year inside of four years..and I don't disagree with either decision

Funny, they win these awards at New Mexico and Butler...not exactly Big Ten or Big East caliber squads. Nor are they BCS conference schools. Just saying...

Until one of these two actually win the COY award while head coach at a school in a BCS conference, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

He's getting his arse kicked right now. I say he because as we are all aware....if they win then He get's the credit so I'm going to give him the credit for the fact they're losing right now.

CBS switched over to the New Mexico game for a minute, and they missed two straight free throws, got the offensive rebound and missed a chip layup. Ah, that brings back memories. I'm glad to see Alford's legendary dead-on aim has worn off on his Lobos, too.

I think UNM was seeded a bit high in the tournament (or Washington too low). I think it also shows the difference between playing in the Mountain West and playing in one of the major conferences...

Alford and Noodles are still looking for their heads...They had no idea what to do with Washington today. UNM has been behind by 20 most of the day. This looked like Iowa/Texas...

I think Alford had better stick with the mid major circuit where he belongs...
