Darren Rovell just tweeted:

"Every single minute of the MLB regular season (including sleeping & days off), A-Rod earned $121.43."

Must be nice. Especially for someone who only played in 99 games, had a .297 ba, and had 16 hrs. :( And just struck out in a huge spot in the playoffs.

My apologies if I just made you feel a little bit worse. :)

Of course, hedge fund operator John Paulson last year earned over 17,000 dollars for every single minute, sleeping or waking.

It is all relative.

Mr. May redux.

Wasn't he like 1 for 26 in the series a few years back?

EDIT - Nope, he did not. He has played in one series and did pretty well. He has had three poor performances in the Division Series. Two in a row - 2005 & 2006 - that must be what I was remembering. Aren't the Interwebz great? Can look all this stuff in moments.

Winfield was 1 for 22 in the 1981 Series.

Just think how bad he would have struck out if Girardi didn't make that pitcher take off his band aid.

That'd be about $9 Billion last year. Wiki says his net worth is $16 Bil so I'm wondering if this is right.

Still, a heck of a lot more than A-Rod.

A-Rod wasn't healthy this year and may never be healthy for an entire season again. He's no longer inflated by the drugs and now he's also paying physiological interest on the drugs he used to take.
