I don't think half a game's worth of reps in the Senior Bowl would be enough to override 4 years of good film, but that's just me. It's not like King was facing scrubs week in and out either. You don’t know that. He got “exposed” at the Senior bowl. He leaves early and he’s not even at the Senior Bowl. From what I remember his measurables were decent and the only knock against him was that he wasn’t fluid when he turned his hips to run with guys.
All this is moot anyway. He had a solid rookie campaign and barring serious injury he will have an opportunity to play for a second contract.
The biggest worry for King was his size and top end speed. He somewhat alleviated the speed fears by running a 4.52 at Iowa's pro day, but he was also hurt by not running the 40 at the combine, and the fact that 4.52 was still slightly below average for that crop of DB's.
And at an official height of 5'10", there was concerns about his length as well, since most outside receivers in the NFL hover around 6'2" or 6'3".
Yet another factor is that the 2016 Draft was arguably deeper at corner as well, with 15 corners going in the first 3 rounds alone.
You're right about the point being moot as he's showing everyone that the NFL was foolish to let him drop so low, but hindsight is 20/20.
