After checking out the rosters Baylor stands tall

After taking a peak at the rosters (very preliminary) at the teams for the coaches Jon mentions and Baylor stands head and shoulders (literally above the rest).

I'm fine with up tempo basketball but to win consitently in the B10 you need to have your share of big bodies and bangers. When I look at the rosters of Memphis and Marquette I see lots of swing players, lots of atheletes, lots of 6-7 210 pounds. While these guys are certainly atheltic I wonder if a roster full of those bodies will hold up in a big10 season?

I don't necessarily see a B10 roster when I look at some of those other teams. I'm not saying they couldn't get thoses guys if they wanted/needed to I'm just saying I dont see them there now.

Baylor however looks like a B10 roster. A couple of 7 footers, youve got some real aircraft carriers in there.

Thoughts?

Marquette is in the Big East, so I would say yes, they can hold up for a big10 season. Big East is just as physical if not moreso than the big10. Memphis has the #1 recruiting class next year which probably means they have 3-4 guys that could play just about anywhere they want to; so again, I say yes, they could withstand the Big 10 schedule.

We need athletes.

Udoh transferred from Michigan to Baylor. He is a seven footer who played for Amaker his frosh year. He had raw potential and now is realizing it..and is a possible lottery pick this year in the NBA draft.

Williams inherited Haywerd who is solid, but went out and got Butler who is a real player.
I think Pastner,Williams,Barbee and Drew are the realistic recruiter/types that we could target...go get'm Gary.

I wouldnt be disappointed with Pastner, Drew, Williams or Barabee. Preferably would have Drew or Willaims though.
