after 63-60, Iowa was really clutch

1. Oglesby makes the biggest basket of his career, on a drive and pop in the lane to move Iowa to 65-60
2. Then a beautiful series of passes, leading to a huge 3 swished by Mr. Uthoff
3. Later, Uthoff makes a huge 2 on a one-on-one play
4. Near the end, Woody gets a huge rebound and then eats clock on a hustle play

This was all very late in the game....these are the type of clutch plays that we didn't get enough of last year.

Maybe this team is building some confidence

I really think not having MG and Sapp in at the same time has really helped offensively. They are both 1 guards when Oges and Jok are 2's. I think consistently keeping them at those positions has helped.

It really was clutch considering the situation. Not comparing players, but visions of Matt Gatens went through my head on that play. Matt made a ton of those. The most noticeable aspect of the Hawks offense was no doubt their spacing and ball movement. Fran obviously had been working hard on that and the players looked very prepared to handle the zone defense yesterday. Had the Buckeye's head on a swivel the whole game.

They did move the ball well, dribble penetrated, and made some fine dishes to our low posts....I did not see a whole lot dancing around the perimeter (and when we did we usually threw the ball away or forced a bad shot)....Whatever it was, I just hope it continues....next team to fall.....Nebraska, then I want Izzo to feel some real pain from Iowa, I mean a complete beat down....After watching them and Maryland play, MSU is not the same as it's been in the past.....

Agree ... those last 2 minutes were great. The OSU zone did not work against us. Hopefully any other teams that try to zone us will meet the same fate.

Two very nice road wins this year so far.

I agree. This is a perfect example of why we play non conference games and try different rotations...so the coaches have these things figured out by conference play.
