Looks like this was pretty widespread, if this was the same ad network as what HN uses.

Would also explain why it took Google longer than usual to "unflag" the site. When the Wash Post, Huffington, ZDNet, etc. call Google, they get a little more attention than little ole' hawkeyenation. Apparently Ghost doesn't have as much pull as we thought. And here I thought he was part of the New World Order.
