I find it very interesting to take a peek at advanced stats every now and then. One of the things that you may find interesting is the defensive stat. Remember: For defense a positive # is negative......

Of the 11 man rotation players:

Top 5 best offensive players (in order)
White
Uthoff
Marble
McCabe
Olaseni

Top 5 best defensive players (in order)
Marble
Uthoff
Basabe
Olaseni
White

Stats I looked at haven't been updated since 12/25

If you're using a site that hasn't updated for nearly a month, you might want to find another site.

Hey OP- still think JO shouldnt be playing much if at all?

Yes. If used correctly, I don't think that Oglewinkel should be on the floor for more than 8-12 minutes per game.

With that said, Fran ran Marble at the point for most of the final minutes of the game....if that is going to continue then I would play Oglewinkel at the 2 spot with White, Basabe, and Woody rounding out the starting lineup. FYI - This is exactly what I stated should happen in the 7 man rotation thread too...
How do you manage the guards?

Oglewinkel comes into the game following the under 12 media timeout but heads to scorers table around the 15 left minute mark and checks in during any deadball scenario for Gesell. Gesell checks out and Marble moves to the point. The goal is to get 2+ game minutes but 4 to 6 minutes of rest for Gesell (you should be smart enough to figure that one out on your own).

Marble is without a doubt the best 2 we have on the team. There is also no reason that Marble couldn't provide 30+ minutes per game in tough games. By moving Gesell to the bench and playing Marble at the point, it allowed for a significant height advantage and better FT shooting to be on the floor....very smart move.

There is no reason that between Marble at the SG and PG position, Gesell at the PG position and Oglewinkel at the SG position, that we can't run a 3-man rotation at the 1&2 positions.

White, Basabe, Uthoff do the same at the 3&4 position

Woody & Olaseni do the same at the 5 position.

That's a 7 man rotation with McCabe and Sapp getting a few minutes sprinkled in at the end of the 1st half or in advance of a media timeout to spell the starters.

Math is hard.

Have you sent this plan to the staff yet? I mean because basketball games arent fluid at all.

So idiotic to think you can have a concrete plan like this for every game.

So clever how you take cheap shots at a player. I thought that type of thing was frowned upon around here.
