Advanced Iowa Stats…Pretty Interesting Stuff…

I think the defense as a whole is solid/good. I just don't see playmakers or instinctual players that they seem to have in their best years. Maybe someone will step up in that area, but not seeing it yet.

The Tebow could only run thing is a bit overblown. He had great passing stats at Florida.

He did but it's the types of throws he made. A lot of screen short passes to Percy Harvin and over the middle balls to Hernandez with those guys getting a lot of RAC yardage. He wasn't doing alot of timing routes on slants or out patterns to the sideline. He has a slow deliberate throwing motion where it had to be there wide open before he'd get rid of it. I see similarities with MG on that.

Tebow was a great college QB that had obvious flaws in his passing game that didn't translate much to the NFL. I would take his college production at Iowa every single season. That guy worked hard.
He absolutely was. Surround a QB like that with a good Oline, running game and a smart OC play caller and a Tebow can win you a ton of college games.

I think the maturation of Harrell and Sherar getting playing time will be key. I've been impressed with Luttmer. Flying around all over the place. Kinda gives me a Tyler Sash vibe. Physical. Probably date myself some but even a Scott Plate.
