Adios

Yep. What's the line on when it'll be officially announced?
I think the meatchicken AD waits until Monday. :D

I'm always a little amused when everyone is so excited for a bad coach to get fired...especially at a school like Michigan. All this firing means is that they get a do-over at hiring a capable coach, which is a bad thing for us (and the rest of the Big Ten) in terms of being able to beat Michigan more times than not.

Rich Rod next Maryland coach.

I think Pitt. That's 'his' league, and the new Pitt coach is in the clink for knocking his girlfriend around.
I would lay pretty solid lumber on DickRod to Pitt. Big rival to W Virginny, where he used to coach. It all adds up.

How's that been working out for indiana, minny, and illannoy?

I agree. I think the coaching carousel can be just as detrimental to a program if not more so. Unless of course the coach is completely inept, but I don't think Rich Rod is as much as I dislike him.

When's the last time that Indiana, Minnesota, or Illinois were among the elite in college football? Two of them have never been, and Minnesota hasn't been in decades. We're talking about Michigan here.

Could be right. Nice call here.

What diff does it make that it is UM? The program has clearly slid way backward, and they really aren't improving, despite what the 'better' record this year suggests. RRod has recruited Big East-level talent and it'll take several years for a new coach to flush away the crap, no matter how good he is.

I will take Maryland.

I don't expect to receive a response from oo44; that's not his style.
So, let's have a little gentlemen's wager, you and me. What stakes would you suggest, 'Phreek? :)
