Acie handled that interview with class and I appreciate his opinion. I have no clue what Spud was talking about or why Phays is mad no former players have thrown anyone under the bus, but I love that former players are being contacted...it's not like we've seen a ton of the past greats courtside lately. It's good to hear from them even in this low point in Iowa history.

Please, please, please forgive me for having a heartbeat and wanting Iowa BB to be great again. I promise to never ever be mad about anything-ever again.

Oh, I had no idea that wanting Iowa to be great again meant former players needed to throw the current regime under the bus...I believe it's you who needs to forgive ME...apparently I was lost to the fact that bitterness and spite were the determining factors in how much we love the program. My most humble apologies...I'll try to do better in the future.

Anyone remember Acie's comments during or after Lick's first year, about not reaching out to former players? At the time they seemed a little whiny, like maybe he'd angled for a job and was turned down, but it appears now that he had a point.

Regardless, the current interview was classy and thoughtful.
