? about recruites this weekend





FF and USAF have been pretty quiet lately. Maybe they're waiting to bring drop good knowledge on us. I hope so.
 


Sorry guys, we've both been busy with other things and there hasn't really been a ton to report. It is definitely true that Gilman and Brooks were both in for a visit this weekend which is big. Especially considering where Iowa stood with Gilman just a week ago. I still think he's a long shot but at least Brands has a foot in the door.

I'm a little more hopeful with Brooks but there are definitely some other schools in hard on him and we'll see what happens.

The Hawks are practicing now but they have had the doors closed to the public so far this year.
 




There was a practice, but no one has posted any details yet. I also read that Carew messed up a knee again and will be out for most of the season. This wouldn't surprise me with the history of knee problems that have plagued him. At least we have more depth this year at 149 (Jake Ballweg and possibly Kelly).
 


Anyone know who the potential recruit was that was in the room Saturday morning? Thought I heard someone said it may be Meyer from SE Polk?
 


Although I like Meyer alot and think he would be a good fit for the Hawkeye room. Im guessing he will get alot better offers from some outstanding academic schools.

I have also heard that Willie Miklus will no longer be taking his visit to the U of I.
 


I read some good news about Carew...supposedly tweaked his knee but will not require surgery and he should be ready for the season.
 






The wrestling news has been pretty light around here. Can't wait until November so this can start heating up.
