about Purdue this week

Purdue is just so darn inconsistent. Watching them at Wisconsin, they simply didn't come out ready to play at the start of the game and were quickly down 21-0. Wisky's 3-5-3 defense with constant pressure from all angles really caused problems for them early, and Parker needs to continue to dial up changes in the Iowa D and pressure to try to disrupt timing of the Boiler passing system. Even after being down 21-0, the Boilers outscored the Badgers 24-10 the rest of the way.
Prohm's most interesting comments: they understand the importance of getting ahead of Iowa early and will pull out all the stops to get a lead. For good reason, they don't see Iowa as a team that can come from behind and win. The other important comment was that Charlie Jones didn't practice all of last week, and is pretty nicked up. He's not a big guy, and watching him every game you can see that he's a step slower and was looking a little beat up prior to their bye week. Kind of unfortunate that the Hawks have to face him and O'Donnell after a bye week after he's had a chance to rest and get his legs back.

Sounds like another team you know.
Iowa's been consistent though. Consistently bad. The Northwestern game is the only one so far where we've had any semblance of an offense. Even the game against Nevada our O wasn't any good.

I think the weather is going to have everything to do with how this game goes. Who can run the ball better and to what extent do they turn it over. We should be able to shut them down if it's windy as hell and raining. They won't be able to just air it out like they'd want to. Problem is we won't be able to do shit either and that's regardless of the weather.

If the run game comes together Iowa has a chance. Just don't know if they improved or Northwestern is that bad. Fritz usually gives us his best shot. Firsts series for D and the O will decide the game.
