  1. Kirk Ferentz is the best coach in the nation for Iowa Hawkeye Football.
  2. Kirk Ferentz is not one of the best 10 coaches in college football right now.

  1. You can "build" a scheme and personallel to beat the Iowa/Ferentz era. See Northwestern and Iowa State.
  2. Teams that have "built" a scheme to beat Iowa/Ferentz era don't win conference championships and don't play in bowl games in January 95% of the time.
  3. Kirk Ferentz "builds" teams to win conference championships, challenge for championships, play in bowl games almost every year, win bowl games, play bowl games in January
  4. Kirk Ferentz will never win a National Championship

  1. Iowa's defense is still the pillar of its success during the Ferentz era.
  2. Iowa's offense and offensive coordinator is mediocre... has been mediocre.
  3. Iowa's defense will continue to be the pillar of it's success going forward.
  4. Iowa's offense will continue to be mediocre at best.

  1. Although an article written a few days ago may say otherwise... Iowa DOES struggle against spread offense teams. Iowa's defense DOES struggle against spread offense teams. You can throw out total points scored all you want, but it's the W's and L's that matter the most.
Ferentz is 6-7 vs Iowa State and like 4-9 vs Northwestern? We lose because our (already mediocre) offense can't get in rythem or get quality field position because our bend but don't break defense can't get people off the field. Or we lose because spread offense team hits on all cylinders like the did today.

Ferentz has a problem with beating ball control spread offense teams. End of discussion.

  1. Kirk Ferentz has Iowa Football at a position where we can predict with almost 85% certainty that we're going to go to a bowl and win between 7 -11 games. Just remember that Iowa State fans and millions of other fans across the nation do not have this luxury.
That's it. I'm done venting. I'm sick of losing to Iowa State, but used to it now. If Ferentz stays through 2020 we'll probably lose to them about 4 or 5 more times. Statistics prove it. There's a very very likely chance that we'll lose to NW at home this year again.

We'll probably win a BCS bowl and another Big 10 title or two over the next 8 years.
