Aaron White is 1st Team All Big Ten, or I'll

I think his leadership these past 5 games has been huge and quite possibly the biggest improvement in his game and this team. I like how he went and got Gabe during that time-out after Gabe's back-to-back misses in 1st half. He also wants the ball in crunch-time...big for rest of the team confidence wise.

This is Aaron White's team.........the other guys are starting to step-up and somewhat follow the
Energy and intensity of their leader

I don't see how he's not 1st team all Big Ten at this point. It would be an absolute shame if he didn't get it. Only 2 players are top 10 scorers and rebounders in the big ten. Kaminsky and White. White is also top 10 in steals. Name another forward not named Kaminsky that is having a better season than Aaron White.

In Iowa's last 5 games, in BigTen play, Aaron is averaging 20.4 pts per game and
almost Rebounds per game, whlle shooting 56% from the Floor.

Talk about peaking and playing your best at the Best time.

Go Hawkeyes

I know HawkIstate has always been a big AW fan, so this is not directed at anyone specific but more of the "feel" from this website in general leading up to this season. I think it's ironic how a lot on this site would have traded AW for just about anyone with any sort of short game just a few weeks ago. His own fan base... didn't really think AW was good. It kinda blew my mind, but you can see that documented throughout this site through the past couple of years with my posts. He's been fantastic down the stretch, but really, he's been this throughout his career. The Iowa team finally having some success just finally makes people think "Ok this guys pretty good"... he's always been good, it's too bad it took a lot of Hawks this long to appreciate it and realize it. Few more games to enjoy him, one of the best Hawks of all time and he could make himself a legend with a couple of wins in the NCAA

KenPom has him third in their B10 player of the year rankings, behind only Russell and Kaminsky.

In my humble opinion and I said this last year, too.

Aaron White is better, more valuable to the IOWA HAWKEYES than
RDM. And that's not a knock on Dev, either.

But, I'm right on this topic, whether Whitey lands in the League, or not.

Whitey is simply a lot more consistent than any player Iowa has had since,
Haluska, or Brunner.

And Aaron White is IOWA's ALL TIME LEADING DUNKER, AS WELL.

Don't take anything you read on this website as representative of the Iowa fanbase. Good or bad.

What? The knock on White has been how often he disappears at times, especially against physical teams. He's been great the last few weeks, but even this year eight points on only four shots in the loss to MSU, seven points on only five shots at Wisconsin, six points in the loss to Northwestern. Marble was in double figures in 18 of 19 B10 games last year. It seems like it's finally clicked for White that this team needs him to step up every night but he hasn't been playing like this all year.

I'm sorry but NO WAY!! Do you realize what White could have done if he was more consistent??? He has been FAR from consistent..

I love the Aaron White we are seeing to end the season, it's to bad these last 2 season we couldn't of seen MORE of it. IMO FRAN had a nice long talk with him after the Northwestern game..

Waaaaaay
Yes waaaaaay
If you want to talk about Inconsistent, look at last year's
leading scorer and how the team dropped at end of year.

Just sayin.............GO HAWKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Aaron White. He's been my favorite player on the team all four years he has been here and one of my all time favorites. That said, I will be pleasantly surprised if he is voted to the 1st team.
