Aaron White...dont treat him like Coker

aaron had a great game and from what i have seen and heard he will be a very good player. i know basketball fans tend to have a shorter memory than football but the kid is young and will probably have a string of games where he will struggle. lets not turn on him like some fans turned on marcus when he was struggling. hopefully this game is a true sign of where iowa is heading under fran.
 
the difference between White and Coker. are the coaches, one runs Coker into 8 man front without trying the outside, plus he does not try other options like the shotgun to force teams to respect the pass, White has 4 others on the floor with him to score has well, the other team cannot gear their defense to stop just one player, and Fran will make a team pay for trying to do so
 
I wouldn't worry about this. White's coach is too f***ing smart to put all his eggs in one basket and fall in love with one player.

Coker's coach, on the other hand....

Let's put it this way. If they were in the same sport...Fran would kick Kirk's azz

White won't be the only forward to play. When he's tired or struggling or maybe just when a change of pace makes sense, Fran will put someone else in.

Plus, White is better than Coker. Wait and see.
 
I think if Kirk would have given Aaron a few carries in the second half, and had him in for a couple of series at defensive end, we would have won the game!!!

A. White quickly overtaking Coker as the Bill Brasky of Hawkeye athletics. But, I want no part of it.

Idk if I can do that...it is not often I get to interact with quite possibly the best Collegiate player since Michael Jordan. He's awe-inspiring!

False....check out threads early in the season. Coker is slow, coker sucks, coker has no burst, coker kicked my dog last week, coker slept with my wife, etc
 
Don't lump Aaron White in with Coker...Aaron white is one of the best players in the BIG and maybe the nation....coker is a pretty good player but no where near White.
