actually forgot about that game, meant to add score a TD. But you are correct about Schlicher and on the right track for the answer I was looking for. I screwed up how I asked the question.

Hawks get away with holding on the end and Kaeding "races" into the endzone on the only fake FG Iowa has ever run...that actually worked!

Hawks successfully pulled off the fake FG in the 54-28 thumping of Illinois back in Hayden's tenure. Jim Hartlieb was the holder and after the fake he threw the TD to future politician Matt Whitaker.

That was one of the most entertaining games I ever remember watching.
