He is just awful. Lazy on defense, can't hit shots. Can't finish or make free throws all of the sudden.

I know you're "new" around here so I'll help you out. Jon really REALLY hates threads calling out players directly.

it may not have been his best game but come on man.
13 points, 6 reb, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 blk. Far from awful

Aaron White is a very good player, capable of doing so much more than he's shown the last 2 games.

He went completely m.i.a. during the swoon last year. I was very excited for him to leave Dev's shadow and be "the man" this year. He talked the talk and, for the most part, walked the walk up until a few games ago.

He needs to understand he's THEE senior leader and must always be in that role. Unfortunately, he's one of the first to hang his head and silently fade out of sight at the first sign of adversity, especially when he misses a few.

He needs to understand that, even tho he's not the best player (that's Uthoff, by a mile) he is so important to this season's success, must step up to the responsibility and embrace the challenge of being a leader.

Aaron White is an excellent player. I don't know what games you've been watching, but you're simply wrong.

His defense is really bad at times. its just dumb risks and lack of composure and it's been that way since last year.

If he doesn't get his run out dunks his effort on D slides big time.

He made bad efforts on two separate trap/hedge/switch situations in the last few minutes and that foul on Eliasan was beyond comprehension. Luckily it didn't bite us.

He can play smart intense D but it seems like in crunch time he falls apart.

Yea you guys are right? 3/4 of his points are from free throws. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, he is our 4 best player maybe 5. He is decent at best.

This is like saying Stanzi is unMerican.........yes, it is really that stupid.

He lets down at times on defense, but he has a knack to get steals for break outs.

Personally, I don't think he needs to shoot another 3-ball year all year long. He needs to work more in and around the paint.

Yeah too bad free throws aren't as good as real points.

He is as good at jump shots as shaq was at free throws. C'mon you guys. Shoot me his outside shooting stats. Tell me how many points he'd have if you take aways his free throws. I think he is great at getting to te rim but can't finish. I'm not sugar coating him like you.

This is a different conversation, but I was kind of glad he fouled there even when it happened. As hot as they had been shooting, I was like, well maybe our best defense is them missing front ends… and then that's exactly what happened.

No, it hasn't been just since last year. It's been since his freshman year. He takes too many risks. He plays what I term "offensive defense" - going for the steal in hopes of getting a run out dunk. Unfortunately that works in HS but not in college.

I agree with the rest of your post, though.
