A sure sign that football season is upon us

Did you get to the top of Clingman's Dome? I'll bet there were 40's up there. You also get a nice workout in as you walk up to the observatory and may spot bear tracks.

Negatory. East of there. Went to Big Bald which is the next big peak over east on the Appalachian Trail. My buddy has a mountain house a couple miles from there. It's an easy enough hike that our 2 year old kids can do it.

I was gonna go to Bryson City over Memorial Day when my mom visited. We were gonna hit Clingman's Dome and take my son on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad train ride, but the weather forecast was pretty spotty so we ended up getting an airbnb in Franklin and grilled, crushed beers and hiked around there instead. Definitely doing a weekend trip to Bryson City next year, though.

I might try to go the day after the UT-Bama game. I want to go to Knoxville to see that but I have to wait for ticket prices to come down before I commit to going to it. I've gotta go see a game in Knoxville.
