A read on Johnny Woodard who visited Friday.

The comments were pretty interesting. Those who have seen him play were impressed. One guy who knows and talks to Woodard said that Texas and Tennessee were showing interest.

From TOS, it looks like TX and TN were in the picture when he was a 3* in HS but never offered. Perhaps that was due to grades because he ended up in JC. The MN fans' comments saying he can shoot the 3, defend, and has "Rodney Williams like hops" from 2011 (when he was in HS) are certainly interesting as a prospect. Lord knows we could use a guy like that if it's true.

I know that 2014 is loaded with blue chippers that have interest in Iowa, but if this guy gets his grades in order he could be a good player. Either way Fran's the man and we will get a good player.:)
