When the sanctions against USC were announced this week -- they had quotes and ESPN TV Vids up from Matt Barkley and Lane Kiffin. In the interview they showed , Barkely was talking about how this was nothing to him and that they just had their best practice of the season. Concurrrently ESPN showed Barkely in pads throwing a football in what looked like a formal practice.
Was that just stock TV footage from another time of the year or what? It sure made one think those guys were out there practicing in pads. I did not think that was sanctioned in the off season.
