Iowa running back signee Henry Geil is much more than just a kid carrying a football:

After reading, I will really be rooting for this young man. Seems to have his head on straight and priorities straight. He's embraced diversity in his life and has shown an ability to be a positive role model to others. He should adjust well to living in Iowa City.

On the football side, I like the fact he has receiving experience as he can be a dual threat out of the backfield. Also with a large body.

By comparison, when I was in undergrad here, the football program paid for the new roof on the library.

Talk about dotting your i's and crossing your Ts. Sounds like he used that as an automatic disqualifier for a school or two. KF having some of his own kids attend Iowa is probably why he knows where it's at.

I like that he looks up to Le'Veon Bell as far as a football player. Could he end up being that good? Probably not but we can hope.

What a great and heartwarming story. I had a child who was premature so it automatically makes me like him - all of the other stuff he stands for makes it impossible not to. I will really be rooting for him!
