A little too much praise?

I have never heard or read so many media outlets that cover Iowa talking about how good they are. Words like dominate, annihilate and awesome are being thrown around like candy. Maybe I am just a pessimist, but I hope this calms down a little. Iowa blew out ISU and a I-AA school. Fantastic. I just hope to get past this game on sat.

But then again they dropped in the coaches poll. It will all work itself out on the field. This team seems to be all business and I don't think they will let their head get in the way of their on the field play. These are not the "fat-cats."

An never forget that they will drop Iowa just as quick.

if you expand your reading outside of the state of Iowa and you wont hear anything.

And we did annihilate, dominate and were awesome this weekend.

Before the season I wouldn't have said this, but I will say it now and I have seen all of the Top 5 teams play. They are the third best team in the nation IMO. The problem is that you play in what I consider the toughest conference this year. From what I have seen, between Iowa, OSU, Wisconsin, MSU and possibly Michigan, no other conference runs that deep through their 4th or 5th best team. If Michigan is good this year, or Northwestern is good this year, then it is locked down as the best conference IMO. The only problem is that I think the bottom 3-4 will be really bad and yes I would say PSU stands a good chance in being in the bottom half. I thought that since last year though.

Actually those terms are well deserved. Look around the country teams are playing cupcakes, for instance the Fuskers...they are ahead of us in spite of 2 very suspect performances. Their defense has played poorly, their offense has a QB but he can't throw the ball, and Paul can't catch it either. We took a BCS conference team in ISU, which won their bowl game, beat Nebraska on the road last year, and flat out dominated them in every phase of the game. We have an offense that is simply blossoming right before our eyes. Our defense IS one of the best in the country, we are capable of beating anyone on any given Saturday. Just my 2 cents...
