A Hawkeye that can take someone off the dribble...

I agree with most of his self-description but I agree with you, that must have been a talent he left back in the closet in Arizona and remembered to pick up on the way to Trojanland.

I was less than impressed with his ball-handling and I seldom recall watching him blow by any defender when he got the ball on the wing.

I also didnt see him create much matchup problems, he was a 6'7'' small foward. Thats pretty normal in the B10, but I wish him luck and hope he does good he will be missed.

Actually, I did see Aaron take his guy off the dribble and so that spin move to the bucket a number of times. He was our only big man who was capable of making a dribble-drive move, and he will be missed. I really thought in the league season, when we ran our offense thru him, we had our best chance of success because he was a solid passer, could drive, and made a few little jumpers. I think his description of his game is spot on.

He was the offense at the end of last year, but where did you see a mismatch?

I really thought he needed to re-develop his jump shot this offseason. If he could face up and hit a 15-17 foot jumper consistently it might allow him to actually take guys of the dribble. All that weightlifting seemed to make his perimeter game regress last year, albeit he was a lot a better in the paint. However, Fuller is just too short to consistently score down their when other teams have large athletic bigs.

The fact that he led the Big Ten in offensive rebounding indicates to me he had some strength mismatches in the paint. If he had a lumbering power forward out on the floor, he could take them off the dribble. Clearly, with so few other threats on the team, he rarely got truly isolated on a power forward out on the perimeter.
I think with more work,he will do some damage in the Pac Ten.

I agree with you he will do some damage in Pac 10, but offensive rebounds is more of who wants the ball more and more effort. I didnt really see him in any mismatches just my opinion but the rest of your statement i agree with, he will be good in the Pac 10 and could have been good in the Big 10.
