The Purdue game tickets were cheap and thousands of enthusiastic Hawkeyes showed up to support the team and coaches. It was a blast and showed that the negativity on this board reflects a skewed segment of our fan base. It was heartwarming. Also, kudos to the Purdue faithful who cheered on their young team throughout most of the game and to the Purdue band who had an absolutely fabulous halftime performance honoring the armed services. Even the weather cooperated to make it a very fun game day experience.

They showed just a brief part of the band. Gotta say jet landing on the carrier was pretty darn good.

The South End Zone was majority of Iowa fans.
In those sections 130-134, you're like a caged animal, and cannot access the rest of the stadium.
I thought that once you were in the stadium, you could move around. Come to find out, these are the only sections where you can't. You're locked into the dedicated concession area and port-a-pots which was very ill prepared for the amount of Iowa fans.

Living in Nashville, one thing I'll miss with the new divisions is the lack of road games at Purdue and Indiana.

We went to the game also and had a blast. I was shocked at the lack of Purdue fans. Brutally bad game day atmosphere for a B1G venue. I would estimate 35-40% Iowa fans. And the south end zone stands/ concessions/and restrooms were comparable to some lower level high schools in Iowa. However, like I said we had a great time watching iowa kick their butts in the second half.

I was in the south end zone as well in section 134 and had a blast. It was great seeing so many Hawkeye fans around us and it felt like a home game. Saw lots of Hawk fans at our hotel and out after the game.

Im glad I splurged and spent the $20 for the 50 yardline seat. Halftime concessions were great. Walked to the endzone where nobody was, no lines for the concessions or the the bathroom. There was literally nobody around.

Seriously, I was thinking of your post earlier in the week when we arrived at the gate.

I was thinking of making a 2nd trip to Ross-Ade stadium but wasnt sure about the lack of hawk offense to make the 9 hr driver

Boy was I wrong. and the hawks stopped a couple drives themselves with drops and playcalls so they might have score 45-50

I would definitely make that trip again. I doubled up and continued on to indy for the rams colts game today. On the way back now. Great weekend.
