A good game to lose

Why? Just why? No way in hell I want to be the recipient of the lashing Michigan took after they lost to Appy State a few years back. Hawks roll.

I think the hawks have the legit offense and can score, shut down the bison rUn game with the front 7 and good support back 4. the hawks should win this by 17 as the kicking game and special teams also look good
 
and I agree that some posters r using the reverse psych to admit there might be a loss to spare themselves. come on and toughen up
 
If you have to lose one, lose to an undefeated Michigan. Then get another shot at them in the BigTen Championship game.
Lose to an FCS team. No Thanks.

Good grief. We lose to an FCS team, ESPN, Cowerd, etc will have a hey day. Will probably suggest we either drop our football program altogether or at least drop out of the Power 5 conferences. They will talk about this loss for years. Probably anytime Hawkeye football is mentioned in the next decade, they will say "you mean the SAME Hawkeye program that loses to FCS schools?" Please Lord do not lose this game.

WTF dude? If we lose to an FCS team we're out of the playoff! No way we lose this game. I'd rather lose on the road at Penn State. Would suck to lose to Minnesota on the road cause they have some of the worst fans ever, but that's another one I'd rather lose.

I don't want any part of a loss to the Goofers. Hawks are their co-super bowl along with WI which they haven't beaten in a decade in a half

This is certainly a novel approach to the game. Get the flem wad out of its system. Wow!
 
If we lose 1 or 2 it sure as hell better not be this joke of a team. And hell why cant we go 12-0 this team is way better than last year's team. Always with you that which cannot be done.
 
There are bad losses and good wins. There are no good losses. Some hurt more than others. Anyone thinking otherwise is pre or post HF. I don't understand the thinking.
