2. Daniels was definitely not 100% and he should be a given next week's game off to be fully healthy for the B1G schedule. It's North Texas and we can get some experience to some younger backs as well.
3. Desmond King is an NFL Cornerback and might go down as the best in Ferentz's time here. While he struggles a bit last year against smaller, speedier receivers, he has looked good so far this year. While Boyd did have make some plays against him, no college CB is going to completely shut Boyd down, King played well. I didn't see the 2nd half except the ending, but King blanketed Boyd in the first half and only a bite on a double move was really his only flaw I can remember from the first half.
4. Much of the talk this offseason/early season has been about a closer team. Does anyone know if it was a certain player or players last year that weren't great team players? I would guess after Carl Davis' comments about taking plays off, he might have been one of them.
5. Our pass rush might be in a little trouble if Ott doesn't get healthy soon. he can be a one man wrecking crew and it seems we need to run a lot of stunts/blitzes to manufacture pressure without Ott.
6. I have been impressed with the way Ferentz has handled this team/coaching staff so far. Basically, since the last quarter of the 2010 season, fans have been very unimpressed and some utterly disappointed. People have kept talking about a 3rd turnaround for Ferentz and we could be seeing it. We should also have a strong team coming back next year to build upon what they accomplish this year.
