If Nova pitches like he did the other day, I think the game will be in our favor.

You mean the day he gave up 10 hits?

all depends on the type of hits. if you give up all singles than it will take at least 3 hits to score a guy (discounting outs that move runners). that means 10 hits if all singles will warrant 3-4 runs depending on how they are grouped together. if they are grouped with more than 5 together you will get pulled before you get to 10 hits. if you give up only 3 or 4 runs and have the yankee lineup behind you that is a win most of the time.

i am not a yankee or red sox fan just a baseball fan.

I get that. I do. But the chances of giving up 10 hits and scoring only 3 runs isn't all that likely - because if you give up 10 hits, chances are you aren't giving up only singles. Hell he got lucky to only give up 4 today. He's gonna have to get better or luck will soon not be on his side.
